BILBAO BBK LIVE 2017 UNVEILS FIRST NAMES

Bilbao BBK Live unveils the first wave of acts set to perform in 2017! Depeche Mode, The Killers, Die Antwoord, Justice, Phoenix, Dixon, The Black Madonna, Fleet Foxes, The 1975, Andrew Weatherall, Job Jobse and more are all lined up for the festival’s twelfth edition, which takes place from 6-8 July 2017 atop the Kobetamendi Hill in the the heart of the Basque Country.

Depeche Mode will headline Bilbao BBK Live 2017! The British band and music pioneers, who continue to sell out arenas worldwide, will present their 14th studio album ‘Spirit’, set to be released early this year as they embark on their ‘Global Spirit Tour’.

Las Vegas-based four-piece The Killers also star. Known worldwide for their adrenaline-fuelled live performances, packed with anthemic hits like “Mr. Brightside”, “Somebody Told Me,” and “When You Were Young”, Flowers and co. are guaranteed to be a true festival highlight.

Justice made a triumphant return to the scene in 2016 with the release of their first song in five years and subsequent full-length, Woman. The enigmatic French duo who shot to fame in 2007 with the acclaimed debut, †, and hits like "D.A.N.C.E." will deliver an exhilarating, dance-fuelled performance.

Bilbao BBK Live 2017 will also play host to French indie-rockers Phoenix, Northern Irish indie pop trio Two Door Cinema Club, and South African duo Die Antwoord, who bring their unique mix of rap, dance music and roots to the atmospheric landscapes of the Kobetamendi Hill. Alt-folk heroes Fleet Foxes also join the bill, along with British 4-piece The 1975 , indie-rockers Sundara Karma, Manchester based five-piece Cabbage and a trio of Spanish talent, COUQue Malla, Dellafuente & Maka and Niña Coyote eta Chico Tornado.

Following the success of last year’s first edition, Basoa, the festival’s carefully curated dance music space will return for 2017. Located in a clearing in the beautiful Basque woodland, Basoa will play host to uninterrupted party sessions from many of the most-respected names in electronic music from sunset to sunrise. Acts confirmed to perform include Innervisions co-founder and Resident Advisor’s #1 DJ Dixon, Chicago’s The Black Madonna, electronic maverick Andrew Weatherall, Caribou lead man Dan Snaith’s solo project Daphni, Dutch selector Job Jobse, Life and Death label head DJ Tennis, revered producer Motor City Drum Ensemble, plus Bawrut, Lena Willikens and Marvin & Guy.
